Anyway I got looking through the rest – not like I’m going to remember them all, and one of them is wrong – of course it’s the one I’m stuck on now lol

Writing up a chore chart for the Princess…

Writing up a chore chart for the Princess. I told her if she practiced her forms and kicking with me for 15 minutes every evening for a month I’d get her the Littlest Pet Shop whatever it is she wants. I thought she would have said ‘only 15 minutes! Hell yes.’ Nope, she pitched a fit because she had to “Work For It”
Well, the Princess is now going to have to start helping out around the house to earn free time. It’s going to be a hard lesson, but in the end she’ll be a better person.

Treasure got out of the ‘secret service van’…

Treasure got out of the ‘secret service van’ (story for another time) walked into the house, got in her chair at the table and said “sketti!” lol
Mommy: Maybe for dinner. What would you like for a snack?
Treasure: “sketti”
Treasure ate 2 LARGE bowls of spaghetti. I don’t mean ‘large’ for a 3 y/o. I mean what would be a LARGE bowl for her father!

It all started when Keeper was 3 We…

It all started when Keeper was 3. We were in Walmart and she wanted to know what all the gardening tools did.
Of course she HAD to try this ‘gardening’. So I got a bunch of stuff, thinking that we’d play in the dirt, she drown them and in a few days she’d forget all about it.
Not so lucky, that very same night something sprang from one of the pods and she was hooked. From then on every spring Keeper has insisted on starting a garden – we start EVERYTHING and I mean everything as a seedling inside – this includes, but not limited too: peas! Sunflowers! Lettuce! We just must start everything as a seedling in April.
Our seedlings do every well, however, if you’ve ever transplanted spinach you understand that some things were never meant to be transplanted.
I don’t think things like peas are supposed to be transplanted, defiantly NOT lettuce.
But here we are again this year and I’m transplanting cauliflower from little pods to soil filled vinyl shoe organizer pockets.
Now for some perspective.
Last month we went to the Animal Park, it was around $40 to get in and treats and a gift shop visit – not a bad price. Then there was the gas to get there and lunch on the way home. For around …. maybe … $80 we had a great morning.
The total amount paid for the pods and seeds and soil and worm poop – gotta have the worm poop – and the shoe organizers = $40 – and we’ve played in the dirt and bonded for days and days.
So what if nothing grows – it’s $40 WELL spent. Happy Mothers Day.

Sick Kiddo

Trip to the doctor with my sick little kiddo.
Keeper’s ears, eyes, nose, mouth, lungs all check out.
Bad case of the flu, broken blood vessel in left eye, probably from coughing.
Her head is so plugged she has it coming out her eye sockets – she’s been blowing her nose. Temp 102 – she won’t take Tylenol. My Poor Baby!!!
DR: A little Tylenol will make you feel much better.
Keeper: I don’t think so.

Update:
Gave my little drama queen Baby Tylenol this evening to bring down her fever – she immediately spit it back up.
Not because her stomach is upset, but because she worked herself up into such a state over the TASTE of the Tylenol.

Why did he hate us?

If we rejoice in the death of any person, what does that say about us as a people?
The Bible teaches in Matthew 18:21-22
21 Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven”.
I have seen many posts rejoicing in Bin Ladens death – is this what Jesus taught us? Is that how Bin Laden saw us? A people so full of hate that we should be destroyed?
I wonder why Bin Laden hated us. Would things have been different if he knew us? Or is it that he knew us so well he felt the only way to save the world was to eliminate us?
If we could accept people for who they are, if we could allow people to live as they believe, if we eliminate hate, could we have stopped Bin Laden before 9/11? It scares me to think that it may have been our actions that started us down this path?
What is the lesson here? How do we preempt the next Bin Laden?
Not saying the guy wasn’t a loon, but there is usually some logic in the loony.
