Stupid Insurance Company!

I can’t be more than 2 hours without a vehicle – kids have to get to and from school, therapy, after school programs and on and on and on.
A woman rear ends me. Nice lady. No one is hurt. Thank God no one was hurt. Her car is totaled – does that tell you how hard she hit me?
My insurance company assures me that her insurance company “Vermont Mutual” is going to handle everything.
They will pay for everything, get me a rental, blah blah blah.
Vermont Mutual calls me. Their guy, of course, has a different spin on things.
“I‘m not going to give you a rental – we have an adjuster who will come out, survey your vehicle and tell you how much we‘re going to pay for it.”
My question is, unless he puts it on a lift how is he going to know what it needs done?!?! Since the accident it’s been shaking like crazy. I’d like to know how he’s going to survey that kind of damage from my driveway?
I know the insurance company doesn’t want to pay for anything they don’t have too, but I’m not claiming whip lash, emotional stress, nothing except the fact I want my truck fixed and I can’t do that without a rental vehicle.
It’s a 13 year old truck – it’s going to take them forever to replace the bumper and anything behind the bumper that was damaged – Remember they TOTALED her car!

Another great example of how a simple vacation…

Another great example of how a simple vacation project takes on a life of its own.
Started moving our seedlings into the shoe organizers today.
I punched holes in the bottom pockets to feed hump strings to the top for the peas and beans to grow up.

Filling the packets from the outsides, hoping to maintain balance.
I put in a few Wally World seedlings, just to test them out. Strawberries and a Tomato plant – this should get interesting.

After the first 4 on the bottom I realized I will probably need drainage.
I put rocks in the bottom, I’m hoping that will do it.

Now we wait.
