I know this is me because it happens…

I know this is me, because it happens with EVERY sewing machine I’ve ever used.
I start sewing, then something feels like it jumps and all of a sudden I get this bundle of thread at the bottom.
I’ve sewn an entire dress to the very end and now I keep getting this and I can’t make it stop.
I’m pretty sure it has something to do with the bottom thread, which I think is called the bobbin, but I can’t figure out what.
What am I doing wrong? Do I have to tighten something?

The new Shelves Today Tim put up several…

The new Shelves.

Today, Tim put up several shelves for “Me”.
With my desire to clean out this house I started trashing everything I did not need to ensure it didn’t take up space. When I was done I realized I didn’t have much of MY stuff to put on the shelves.
1- scale used to weigh packages shipped to buyers, Christmas presents across the country, and anything Riley comes up with.
2 – CD and DVD used to save images and movies of my family. Also, Riley’s music collection for the truck.
3 – two boxes of supplies used to make Survival Bracelets for those serving in Afghanistan – made while waiting for Keira during therapy.
4 – Camera and camcorder used to photograph my family.
5 – Storage drawers filled with pens, pencils, note pads, crayons, art supplies, crafty stuff for my kids.
6 – envelopes, tape, compressed air – things used by everyone in our home
7 – printer used to print pictures of my family, t-shirt transfers, and color printouts for the kids.
8 – Cookbooks and books on autism or how to teach a child to do something.
9 – where my laptop sits. I call it my laptop but it is filled with pictures and videos of my children and family. Also a copy of each website I have made for other people (about 150 gig‘s worth).
10 – receipt holder. So I may return anything that doesn’t fit my family and keep track of payments for the medical reimbursement program.
11 – yet, more plastic drawers filled with supplies for the house – like batteries, paper, chargers, games. The bottom 2 drawers are for things I sell online.
12 – Sewing machine, which I use to make doll clothing, costumes for my kids and dresses for needing children overseas.

I am so thankful for all of the…

I am so thankful for all of the blessings in my life, and for all of the amazing people who have come back into my life, and into my life for the first time, through FB. This is so disturbing.
I’ll be honest, I rarely discipline my children – I ‘talk’ them into obedience.
I get them to mind by making them spend countless hours with me.

Remember hot sauce mom, aka Anchorage mom Jessica Beagley?
TODAY Moms first wrote about Beagley in January, when she was facing child abuse charges after the “Dr. Phil” show aired video of her punishing her 7-year-old adopted son for lying by putting hot sauce in his mouth and forcing him into a cold shower.
In the court of public opinion, Beagley’s action put a bad taste in people’s mouths. In a poll of more than 3,000 TODAY Moms readers, 69 percent considered “hot saucing” abusive. (31 percent said it was an acceptable discipline tool.)
Now Beagley, a mother of six children, is in a real court, on trial for misdeaneor child abuse charges.

This tooth has taken over my life Tuesday…

This tooth has taken over my life! Tuesday it started hurting again. Yesterday I went to the dentist who told me that only half of my wisdom tooth broke through the gum (which I knew) and there was a pocket between the tooth and the gum (again knew that) where food had been getting in – and of course I couldn’t get it out – that caused a terrible cavity.
He though it was interesting that my wisdom tooth was only growing in now – at age 38. I told him my wisdom teeth grew in when I was 11 or 12 and that’s around the last time I went to the dentist. So for around 27 years gross stuff has been collecting in that area – you can see why he was so shocked – it’s only now bothering me enough to get it looked at!
He said I’m on the cusp of an infection, he doesn’t see any infection, but considering what he removed it was only a matter of time.
So he pulled the tooth – my mouth is feels SO MUCH BETTER! But the rest of me is worse. The right side of my body feels like crap – ear, brain, throat, jaw – even my stomach doesn’t feel good. I was in bed all day, I felt ok until I got up – then I felt like I was going to drop – which probably means I have some kind of infection that just wasn’t obvious around the tooth.

I can’t believe this stupid tooth is kicking…

I can’t believe this stupid tooth is kicking my butt!
Tuesday my tooth started driving me crazy again.
Wednesday, I had it pulled out.
Today, I’m sick! My entire right side is messed up. Even my stomach hurt most of the day. I was fine when I was laying down, but as soon as I sat up I felt sick!
I felt better after both my c-sections!
