What happens when I let 10y/o Keira  choose her own treat.

Me: What do you want for a treat?
Kid:

Poke-chew (pokie-chew)
And a banana – the poke-chew must have something to eat lol

Keira is strangely coherent today.
She got up this morning, went into the bathroom and demanded clothes – “Time to dress. Get dressed now. Need underwear, shirt and pants.”
This was after she brought her chalkboard and chalk into her room and played for a hour WITHOUT Eating the chalk!!!

Keira is having none of it!

Keira: I’m Mickey Mouse! Are you Abby?

Tim: Keira, if you’re going to make one of your big giant messed – you only have 15 minutes, cause daddy’s beat.

First Keira tells us: I’m sick
That’s big!
Next I mention that I may keep her home tomorrow and Keira said: Can I have some school soon?
Which at first I thought that meant she was asking to go to school, but now I think she was just verifying that she was staying home from school.

Keira: I feel sick.

Keira can’t stop cooking or attempting to cook.
Today I brought her home an Oreo Blizzard with Whip from DQ. Immediately she added apple slides and cinnamon
Keira won’t let me make dinner unless she gets to stir something. And you can’t put flour, water and food coloring into a bowl to keep her occupied. There must be a recipe, measuring and typically 1 egg or she knows you’re just trying to keep her busy.
I need to find a cheapy pasta maker – she’ll never leave the kitchen and we’ll have fresh pasta every meal. 

Keira: I want Flamingo Peeps please.

We had a good hard laugh. Love what she comes up with.

Keira is already for “be your favorite book character” day.
Emailed teacher and explained we had to improvise because Keira doesn’t have a favorite story book character.

IHS: You know Keira is writing words in Spanish now, right?
