email from Tim: Keira was in bed but not quite asleep when I got home last night (about 8:00). I sat her up and asked her to sign a Valentines Day card for Mommy. Because I was quite tired I did not realize the incredible act I would then witness. Keira took the pen and signed the card with her usual large lettering and spacing. The amazing part is I was holding the card, from her perspective, up-side down. In a split second she was able to determine the card was reversed and actually signed her name up-side down, right to left, with out any change in tempo or hesitation.
It was this morning whenI was putting the card in he envelope that I realized what had happened.

Comments on the Lunch Mess:

We were putting a steroid cream on Keira’s face to clear up a bad rash. A few days later she seemed a bit more lucid, using sentences that weren‘t scripted. Unfortunately a few days after that she started wetting herself (same problem that happens with chlorine).
The question is – what part of the steroid cream activates her brain and what part deactivates her bladder? Hopefully they are not the same part.

If we are the reincarnation of our ancestors I am most definitely Roger Williams. I may have to retreat from a battle, but I will be back to win the war. This must be why the Good Lord blessed me with Keira.

I was up all night monitoring Keira’s little finger.

• It has now returned to the same color as all her other fingers, still a little puffy where her finger meets her hand.
• I do have a call into the DR just to make sure I’m doing the right stuff – which really is just keeping an eye on it.
• I’ll keep you posted.

Keira just wrapped a string around her finger so tight that her finger turned a purplish brown!
I had to cute off the string with a box cutter, luckily I knew exactly were it was – my purse.
For a moment I thought we were headed to the ER. Still a little puffy, but the color has come back, she may be sleeping with mommy tonight.
