Yesterday I sorted out all of Riley’s toys…

Yesterday I sorted out all of Riley’s toys, but didn’t have time to find homes for everything.
Me: Riley, I need you to come out here and watch Keira while I shovel the stairs.
Riley: Mom, you can’t be serious. You just found all my toys!
Me: Riley, they were in your toy box.
Riley: But MOM, I didn’t know that.
I guess, I can give her a little bit more time to play with her toys lol

Took the girls to family swim tonight WOW…

Took the girls to family swim tonight – WOW Fun was had by all.
Riley grabbed some bubbles and went right in like she owned the place – even swam without the bubbles for daddy before we left. Such a big girl, walked into to the women’s changing room all by herself to come find Keira and I as we were getting ready to leave.
Keira has no fear – luckily she had bubbles on, because she got half way down the ramp and jumped in!
Another time, Tim sat her on the side to rest and she jumped in and went completely under – and showed no signs of slowing down.
She gives you a look as if to say “Just give me a second to stop choking and I’ll be ready to go again”
But when she was ready to leave, she was ready! and she’s been fussy ever since. She wants to go to bed, we’ve put her there 3 times and she keeps getting up cranky – course she was up all night last night – so Over the Top Tired.

Half hour before we leave for school ………

Half hour before we leave for school ……..
Riley: Mooooooooom? Where are all my red, white and blue clothes?
Me: Why?
Riley: I have to wear my colors to school
Me: Your colors? Have you joined a street gang?
Riley: A what? No! It’s Patriots Day!
Me: No, I don’t think so, I’m pretty sure you’d have that off.
Riley: Yes, it is. And I have to wear my colors, I’m not tall enough to be a giant.
*Light Bulb!*
Yes, I’m proud to say “I am That Mom!” The mom who keeps iron on transfers and white t-shirts on hand, just for these emergencies.

Teacher Keeper isn’t doing well in Math School…

Teacher: Keeper isn’t doing well in Math.
School: Tested her for everything.
Test results: Above Average – Above Superior.
Me: Keeper, why aren’t you finishing your Math work?
Keeper: I’m talking with my friends. It’s Boring.
Schools solution: Give her MORE time to finish work.
My solution: 3 pages of Math per day over the summer!

Sick Kiddo

Trip to the doctor with my sick little kiddo.
Keeper’s ears, eyes, nose, mouth, lungs all check out.
Bad case of the flu, broken blood vessel in left eye, probably from coughing.
Her head is so plugged she has it coming out her eye sockets – she’s been blowing her nose. Temp 102 – she won’t take Tylenol. My Poor Baby!!!
DR: A little Tylenol will make you feel much better.
Keeper: I don’t think so.

Update:
Gave my little drama queen Baby Tylenol this evening to bring down her fever – she immediately spit it back up.
Not because her stomach is upset, but because she worked herself up into such a state over the TASTE of the Tylenol.
