Strangest Storm today. Got caught in the storm, pulled the car off the road, not big deal until I realized the water was beginning to rise and things were floating toward us. Decided I had to move the car out of the lake that was forming around us, I pulled the car out into the street and started up the hill only to be struck by a huge wave of water that knocked the car into the other lane. For a moment I thought the car was going to flip, it felt like we were hit by a wall of water. Drove away from that only to be hit by another weird wave a few traffic lights away, not nearly as scary, but was a bit white knuckled by the time I got to my meeting.

It was unreal. When I parked there there wasn’t even a puddle, but in the time it took for me to get the number from my voice mail, call the woman and tell her we were going to be a few minutes late the water had risen to the point that when people drove passed us the water was streaming over the car and Riley was screaming “MOM, THE WATER IS GOING OVER THE CAR!!! MOM!!” I don’t remember even saying good bye to the woman, i think I just dropped the phone and put the car into drive and that’s when I saw the massive wave start to come down the street.
there was another wave which went down High street and ripped off someone’s bumper!
There was a funny part though. When Riley started screaming I looked up and saw …. and I kid you not … orange floaties coming at us. Until that point I didn’t realize how high the water actually was.
