During vacation week the girls and I went rock climbing, pitch a tent, went camping, caught butterflies, hiked a million miles, did far to much sword play, danced at a grand ball, opened a restaurant, raced to the moon, went go carting and we rarely left the living room.
Keeper: Mom, I don’t want to go back to school.
Mom: Then you bet…ter open a bed & breakfast next.

Whatever possessed me to go to Walmart on the weekend after a big storm with Keeper!?!?!?
First we had to talk about all the choices of donut – even those she doesn’t like – ok that was cute. We get the donut and the whining starts – Can I have one of Treasures’s munchkins? Can I see this? Can we go over there? Why is this taking FOREVER? Why do we have to get so much stuff?
Mom: REALLY? Why do we have to get so much stuff? Do you LIKE TO EAT? Do you like clean sheets?
Keeper: “Gees Mom!”
She has to hang on to the side of the cart because either she thinks I’m following her and she wanders off or she gets just slightly ahead of me and I run over her with the cart.
First she’s pushing the cart because she wants to get done faster, so the cart drifts to the right and by the end she’s dragging so the cart is drifting to the left.
Whining because she has to walk, whining because I’m not going fast enough, whining because I’m going to fast.
I finally get the girls back in the truck, buckled in, all the stuff in the truck, I get in and Riley asks “Mom why don‘t you ever take me shopping?”
Treasure, the toddler, sat quietly in the cart and never said a word – the ENTIRE 20 MINUTES!!!
The other thing, Keeper is a bean pole with the destruction capability of an elephant! Every time she turns around she knocks over a display or falls over or causes someone else to knock something over or she walks into something – her mouth is the same height as the bar of the cart now, want to guess how many times she ran into the bar on the cart?
And every time she causes a catastrophe her eye’s get as big as silver dollars and she says “OH I AM SO SORRY!” and she really means it!
She is completely oblivious to what is behind her or on either side of her or even what could be there. It’s like she’s so smart that the obvious doesn’t penetrate her skull.

Today we are having a “Day of Crap” in…

Today we are having a “Day of Crap” in THANKS that yesterdays “Day Of Crap-o-la” is OVER!!!
We had crap for breakfast (cream horns), It’s crappy, but beautiful outside, we are having crap for lunch (TGIF’s cheese & bacon potatoes), we are having crap for dinner (pizza rolls) with soda and we have fudge.
And at some point I’m sure every…one in our house will give thanks by taking a crap!
