This afternoon I walked by our neighbors house and my neighbor told me that she and her partner were married this weekend after, what I think she said was, 36 years!
Then she Thanked me for my support – and I felt terrible. It is dehumanizing to vote on another person’s rights. No one should have to ask another for the right to marry or for any other right given freely to another.
Sadly the battle isn’t over. Even though Gay Marriage is “legal” in the state of Maine there are still over a 1,000 rights that Gay and Lesbian couples do not receive and no rights once they leave the state unless they go to another state that “allows” gay marriage.
Now that I got that off my chest, I’m gonna have a cookie and think about nice things I can do for people until I feel better.

I’m having some kind of freaky cartoon type allergy attack. I was fine all day, went to the market quick and between the house and Shaw’s I became an allergy basket case. I can’t stop sneezing or blowing my nose. I’ve had to stop twice just typing this. OMGosh what the heck happened!
